On Thursday 27th October The Plank™ attended the Regional Young Enterprise Scheme prize giving in New Plymouth held at The Plymouth International. The evening was to celebrate the many YES business successes for the year and to find the top regional team to travel down to Wellington and compete in the National awards alongside other regional winners.
The Plank™ won two awards at Thursday’s event. We won the business Showcase award which unbeknown to us involved being mystery shopped at the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce event in August.
The second award was a big surprise, we got runner-up in the New Zealand National award for Excellence in Sales and Marketing (out of over 4700 students and 1000 businesses nationwide).
